About Amy Lewin
I’m a senior public- and private-sector executive with more than 15 years of experience leading statewide initiatives at the intersection of economic development, destination priorities and community impact in Oregon. (LinkedIn profile.)
I currently serve as Director of Arts & Culture for Business Oregon, where I’m responsible for strategy, operations, and stewardship of $68M in state, federal (NEA), and trust funds across two Governor-appointed entities. In my first 90 days, I worked with boards, the Governor’s Office, the Legislature, and statewide partners to stabilize and align a portfolio serving more than 1,600 organizations across 45 communities, ensuring strong governance, fiscal integrity and equitable access across urban, rural, and Tribal communities.
Previously, I held senior leadership roles at Oregonian Media Group and the Portland Business Alliance, where I led digital-first storytelling, sponsorship strategy, and cross-sector partnerships that supported economic vitality, destination marketing and community recovery. Across my career, I’ve used communications and marketing not just as messaging tools, but as enterprise capabilities that are grounded in data, accountability and long-term value.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Oregon and recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Emerging COO leadership at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Outside of work, you'll find me exploring the Pacific Northwest's trails and coastline. These are the same landscapes that first inspired my love of storytelling back on that rural Oregon farm where my career began.
I'm always excited to connect with fellow leaders who understand that the best outcomes happen when we lead with purpose and authenticity.
